WOCAN is building its founding leadership team. We're looking for women ready to help shape a national community, training, and scholarship network for women of color in the automotive industry.

This is a volunteer leadership opportunity for women who want to lead with purpose, grow their own leadership skills, and make a lasting impact on the industry.
Open Positions
President
Sets WOCAN's strategic direction, leads the Board and Officers, and serves as the organization's primary spokesperson and public face.
The role of President in a nonprofit organization is to provide overall strategic leadership, represent the organization publicly, and guide the Board and Officers toward the organization's mission.
Vice President
Supports the President, oversees WOCAN's training, conference, and scholarship programs, and steps in as Acting President when needed.
The role of Vice President in a nonprofit organization is to support the President in providing leadership and direction, while standing ready to step into the President's role when needed. The Vice President plays a key part in program development and organizational continuity for WOCAN.
Treasurer
Oversees WOCAN's financial management, budgeting, reporting, and legal/tax compliance.
The role of a Treasurer in a nonprofit organization is critical for maintaining the financial health and transparency of the organization. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, ensuring that funds are appropriately managed, and that the nonprofit complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
Secretary
Manages meeting records, Board documentation, correspondence, and legal/bylaws compliance.
The Secretary in a nonprofit organization plays an essential role in ensuring smooth communication, accurate record-keeping, and legal compliance. They are responsible for managing the organization's records, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and ensuring that the Officers/Leadership and Board's decisions are properly documented.
