Join us for our July WOCAN Speaker Series event featuring Jodi Lai the first ever Editor-in-chief for autoTRADER.ca. Come hear her story and learn how she has pushed past barriers and obstacles to become one of the premier vehicle experts in the industry.
Jodi has been obsessed with cars since she was little and has been covering the automotive industry for more than a dozen years. But moving up the ladder has not been easy, particularly for an Asian woman in a white male dominated space. She has needed to work twice as hard to gain the credibility of her male counterparts.
Jodi has an impressive track record in both the automotive industry and in journalism. She has a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto, is a member of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), and a jury member for the prestigious North American Car/Truck/Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY).
But most importantly, she is passionate about giving back and inspiring other women of color to join and grow in the automotive industry.
