In partnership with Women of Color Automotive Network (WOCAN) and NCM Associates, this scholarship provides a WOCAN member with full access to the General Manager Executive Program (GMEP) an intensive executive-level leadership program designed for high-potential automotive professionals.

Scholarship Value:

  • $9,750 GMEP tuition (covered by NCM)

  • Airfare + hotel for required sessions (covered by WOCAN)

Purpose & Vision

Why This Scholarship Exists

The WOCAN x NCM GMEP Leadership Scholarship was created to expand access to executive-level education for women of color in automotive who are actively preparing for senior leadership or General Manager roles.

This program represents a significant investment in leadership development. The selected scholar must demonstrate readiness, commitment, and a clear trajectory toward long-term impact within the automotive industry.

This scholarship is not about titles, it’s about leadership potential, accountability, and growth.


About the Program
General Manager Executive Program (GMEP)

GMEP is an immersive, executive education program led by NCM Associates, focused on developing the skills required to lead at the highest levels of automotive retail and operations.

Program Highlights:

  • Executive-level leadership and management education

  • Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and operational excellence

  • Peer learning alongside senior automotive leader

  • Hands-on, real-world application

Program Format:

  • Travel to Kansas City every other month

  • One full week per session

  • In-person participation required

Who This Scholarship Is For

This scholarship is intended for applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Active WOCAN member

  • Currently employed in the automotive industry

  • On a leadership, executive, or General Manager development path

  • Not required to be a current GM

  • Employer/dealer is aware of and supports program participation

  • Able to commit fully to travel and attendance requirement

    This opportunity is designed for individuals who are ready to invest in their leadership journey now.

Program Commitment & Expectations

Important: Read Before Applying

This is a high-level executive program and requires full participation.

By applying, applicants acknowledge:

  • Mandatory attendance at all GMEP sessions

  • Travel every other month for one full week

  • Active engagement during sessions

  • Commitment to completing the entire program

Failure to meet participation requirements may result in forfeiture of the scholarship.

What the Selected Scholar Receives

The selected WOCAN scholar will receive:

  • Full tuition for the GMEP program ($10,000 value)

  • Airfare and hotel accommodations for all required sessions

  • Access to an elite executive leadership network

  • Recognition through WOCAN and NCM platforms

  • Opportunity to represent WOCAN at the executive level
